Bicton Gardens Present Concerts In The Gardens
BICTON PARK BOTANICAL GARDENS have adopted DREAM-A-WAY as their Charity of the year for 2009/2010 and will be presenting 3 Concerts in their Gardens. The concerts are themed as ”have a picnic party and dress the part (if you dare)”.
At all three concerts Dream-A-Way will benefit from a prize draw and
bucket collection.
We are honoured that we have been chosen to benefit from these concerts
and would like to thank Valerie and Simon LISTER for this support.
The events are as follows:
Thursday 9th July
ABBA VISION and LIMITED COMPANY
Tickets are £12 for adults and £6 for children
Local band Limited Company will open the evening with classic hits from
the 60s to present day from artists including Bryan ADAMS, BLONDIE, The
ROLLING STONES, POLICE, TAKE THAT, SANTANA, NORAH JONES and QUEEN to name
just a few.
This will be followed with a performance by Abba Vision.
Limited Company has very generously agreed to provide this
performance completely free in support of Dream-A-Way.
We are extremely grateful to all the members of this fantastic
band for generously agreeing to perform at this event free of charge. It
really is a superb gesture.
Thursday 23rd July
MAX HUTTON & BB’s BIG BAND
Sing along to a fantastic selection of songs to get the party swinging.
Max leads his BB’s Big Band through hit numbers from Robbie WILLIAMS, Frank SINATRA, Blues Brothers, Michael BUBLE and many more Jazz and Big Band standards.
Friday 14th August
Proms in the Park Concert with the South West Symphonic Wind Orchestra
Tickets are £12 for adults and £6 for children
Popularity and populism is a key note of the Last Night of the Proms. Come
and join us for a celebration of British classical music alongside a
gallimaufry of other composers. Bring a flag to wave – it is the order of
the night !
Come along for a fun packed classical music extravaganza for the
whole family with a spectacular firework finale!
