Santa Run 2010 & 2011 (& forthcoming 2012!)
The annual Guildhall Shopping Centre / Iron Bridge Runner Santa Run
through Exeter is a regular crowd pleaser and fun event for people of all
ages and abilities to get involved in.
2011 hosted over 300 runners, raising £500 for Dream-A-Way!
We plan for the 2012 event (to be held on Sunday 9th December) to draw a
record-breaking 500 runners and we welcome anyone to
contact us or the Ironbridge Runner to book
their places for 2012!
A video of the 2011 event is available here.
The 2010 event saw more than 400 fun-runners dressed as Santa taking part in
a one-mile circuit through Exeter City Centre.
Runners included Town Crier, Steve Cunliffe who helped start the run by ringing his bell.
There were many youngsters taking part this year and everyone finished safely including the
leap-frogging Santas and a Santa in a wheelbarrow!
Proceeds from the run are kindly donated by the event organisers and shared between
Dream-A-Way and the We Care Campaign to help local people and their
carers.
